Overview | |
Sporocarps scattered to ± gregarious, up to 1.2 mm tall. Hypothallus membranous, large, discoid, brown. Stalk black, opaque, short. Sporotheca slightly oblate, jet black, 0.8-1.2 mm diam. Peridium remaining as a collar at the stalk apex. Columella a continuation of the stalk, rather stout, opaque, merging with the peridium to form a deep apical funnel, c. 45 µm diam. Capillitium arising from both the apical funnel and from the length of the columella, but mostly from the upper third, connected to the columella with small membranous expansions, profuse, very dark and slender, flexuose, some branches smooth and some with minute fusiform swellings, branched 0-2(-3) times. Spores subglobose, dark brown with a pale area, densely verruculose, 10.5-11 x 10.5-12 µm diam.
